PART THREE
21ST-23RD NOVEMBER2007
Thirteenth-Fifteenth Day
TAJ MAHAL
The SEVEN WONDERS of the world.
Left early in the morning to the train station from buddy house. Hugged her mum before i left. It's so touching and warm hearted, okays. I nearly cried in front of her. Everyone of us couldn't bear to leave with each other. All of us hugged, shakehands, left each others contact behind and lots, before we board the train. It was so packed on the platform. They are also as 'kiasu' as we Singaporeans. HAHAS. Had a very long train ride to Agra. Slept and ate almost throughout the ride. So so tired. Finally, we reached there. Alighted the train hastily as all of us didn't know that this was the particular stop we are supposed to alight. We quickly bring down our hand-carry luggages and alight the train. Two of us nearly couldn't get down the train as they were helping some of us to see if we left our luggages on the train. Must be very thankful to the two gentlemens. (: Then, we had a bus ride to a restaurant for lunch and to taj mahal. At last, we reached the TAJ MAHAL. It was so so so BEAUTIFUL. The view was like, as if you were looking at pictures from the television or whatsoever. Also went to the 'lotus' temple. if you guys had a chance, you should go visit there and see. i have really lotsa lotsa photos to post. but i dont have the time. haha. this are only bits and pieces...XP
Well, let me briefly describe to you about TAJ MAHAL, the seven wonders of the world.
The Taj Mahal is the most extravagant monument built for eternal enduring love. It's india's most famous tourist atrraction. Taj Mahal is a massoluem known for its reflective pond leading to the fabulous monument. Completed in 1653, it was built by the Emperor Shah Jaan in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth. It was completed in 22 years, employed twenty thousand workers and was designed by the Iranian architect Istad Usa. revered for its grace and detailed beauty, the Taj Mahal is considered to be the zenith of the Indo-Persian architecture and the elaborate marble designs are inlaid with semi-precious stones such as jade, crystal, tuquoise and coral. The changing light and shadow affect the colour and patterns of the Taj Mahal. The Taj is pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden when the moon shines.
if you happen to be there to travel, you will realise that all their palace over there is made of marble. Strange, isn't it? Think of it. When in the past where technology is not as advanced as compare to the past. How can the workers that built the palace make the carvings, walls, pillars till so perfect??

such a beautiful place, who wouldn't want to go again??
